Composite bonding
Repair chips, close small gaps and reshape uneven teeth in a single visit — with little or no drilling and results you’ll see the same day.

What is composite bonding?
A quick, conservative way to perfect your smile.
Professional teeth whitening uses a dentist-prescribed gel to lift stains caused by tea, coffee, red wine and smoking. It lightens the natural colour of your teeth without removing any enamel.
You whiten at home using trays made to fit your teeth exactly, with your dentist overseeing the course. In the UK, only dental professionals can legally provide whitening, so the gel is both safe and strong enough to work.

Bonding can help with...
It works best on healthy teeth and gums. If you need other treatment first, we’ll explain why and plan it with you.

How it works
Four simple steps to your new smile.
01
Consultation
We check your teeth and gums, talk through what you’d like to change and confirm bonding is the right option.
02
Plan & shade match
We agree the shape and choose a composite shade that blends naturally with your own teeth.
03
Bonding appointment
Composite is applied, sculpted by hand, set with a curling light and polished to a natural shine.
04
Review & aftercare
A quick check to make sure your bite feels right, plus advice to keep your bonding looking its best.

FAQS
Your questions, answered.
Can’t see your question? Give us a call — we’re always happy to talk things through.
Does composite bonding hurt?
Usually not. Very little, if any, of your natural tooth is removed, so most patients don’t need an anaesthetic at all.
How long does it last?
With good care, bonding typically lasts five to seven years before it needs polishing, repairing or replacing. Regular hygiene visits help it last longer.
Can bonded teeth be whitened?
Composite doesn’t change colour with whitening gel, so if you’d like whiter teeth we recommend whitening first, then matching the bonding to your new shade.
How many appointments will I need?
Most cases are one consultation followed by a single bonding appointment. Larger smile makovers may be split over two visits.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes — 0% finance over 12 months is available on composite bonding. Ask the team at your consultation.
