Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners, each made to fit closely over your teeth. There are no brackets or wires, and the aligners are difficult to see. It can correct crowded teeth, gaps and some bite problems, such as a mild overbite or crossbite. This makes Invisalign a discreet way to gradually straighten your teeth without a fixed brace.
It is a good option if you want a discreet treatment that you can remove to eat, drink and clean your teeth as normal.
Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles is a discreet fixed brace designed for adults. It uses clear brackets and tooth-coloured wires, and it concentrates on the teeth that show when you smile rather than your whole bite. This keeps treatment much shorter than traditional braces, at around six months on average.
It is a good option if your main concern is crooked, crowded or spaced front teeth and you would rather have a fixed brace.

Your questions, answered.
Invisalign
How long does Invisalign take?
It depends on how far your teeth need to move and how consistently you wear your aligners, which should be 20 to 22 hours a day. We will give you an estimated timescale at your consultation.
Can I eat and drink normally?
Yes. You remove your aligners to eat and to drink anything other than water, then brush before putting them back in.
Does Invisalign hurt?
You may feel some pressure for a day or two after starting a new set. This is normal and soon settles.
Six Month Smiles
Does treatment always take six months?
Six months is the average. Some cases finish sooner and others take a little longer, and we will tell you what to expect after your assessment.
Will the braces be noticeable?
They are far less visible than metal braces, although they are not completely invisible.
Is Six Month Smiles suitable for everyone?
No. More complex bite problems may need a different approach, and we will tell you if another treatment would suit you better.
